The Global Standard for fragrance safety is set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). IFRA establishes strict limits on fragrance ingredients to ensure consumer safety and environmental protection. Scent & Sense follows these standards, including producing fragrances free of 26 allergenic components, to deliver safe products especially suited for sensitive skin and children. This ensures compliance with global safety and quality requirements.

An ODM is a company that designs and manufactures a product which is then sold under another brand's name. They own the product's intellectual property, allowing clients to quickly adopt a ready-made design, make minor tweaks, and brand it as their own.

Examples of ODM operations are widespread across industries like electronics, computer hardware, and consumer goods. In the fragrance sector, a company like Scent & Sense serves as an ODM, designing and developing custom scents, fragrances, or wellness products that other businesses then sell under their own unique brand name.

It is a product the ODM company already designed and developed. Clients select this product, often from a catalog, make minor adjustments such as changing the color or branding, and then sell it immediately under their own label.

Companies use ODMs to launch products fast and affordably. It’s ideal for brands seeking ready-to-market consumer goods, electronics, or appliances without the time and expense of designing from scratch.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is when a company produces products or parts based only on another company's precise designs and specifications.

The key difference is design ownership. An ODM designs and manufactures (client rebrands); an OEM only manufactures to the client's specifications (client owns the design).

Scent & Sense primarily operates as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer). We handle the full process from designing and developing the fragrance and product formulation to manufacturing the final goods. While we can also act as an OEM by producing products based on a client's specific existing formula, our core strength is offering a turnkey ODM solution for brands that need a complete, ready-to-market product designed from scratch.

A Signature Scent is a unique fragrance that represents the success, personality, and identity of a brand. It is designed by combining the brand's character, customer preferences, and thorough market research to create a scent that communicates emotions and enhances customer experience.

Signature Scent helps create a memorable and deep emotional connection with customers by conveying the brand's essence through fragrance. It increases brand recall and enriches customer experiences, making the brand stand out in competitive markets.

Essential oils are natural extracts from plants with therapeutic properties often used in aromatherapy, while fragrance oils are synthetic and used mainly for their long-lasting pleasant scents in products like soaps, perfumes, and lotions. Both have unique uses in creating brand fragrances.

By strategically designing and deploying a Signature Scent tailored specifically to a brand, businesses can improve ambiance, strengthen brand recognition, and foster loyalty. This can be done through scent diffusers, personalized perfumes, and consistent scent experiences across customer touchpoints.

Olfactory marketing is the strategic use of scent to influence customer emotions and behavior. It's a powerful tool to instantly enhance brand identity and create memorable, lasting emotional experiences.

Scent directly accesses the brain's emotional and memory centers. By triggering positive feelings and associations, it demonstrably increases brand recall, encourages customers to spend more time in a space, and ultimately drives higher sales and loyalty.

Aromatherapy is a holistic practice that uses natural essential oils, extracted from plants, to promote therapeutic and healing effects on both the mind and body.

The perfume pyramid is a fundamental structure illustrating a fragrance's composition and how it evolves over time after application. It is organized into three distinct layers: top notes, middle (heart) notes, and base notes.

Top Notes: The initial impression. They are light and volatile, detected immediately but fading quickly (e.g., citrus). Middle Notes (Heart): The core character. They emerge once the top notes evaporate, forming the main body of the scent and lasting several hours (e.g., floral, fruity). Base Notes: The foundation. These are heavy, less volatile compounds that anchor the fragrance and linger for the longest duration, often hours to days (e.g., woody, musky).

It is the perfumer's blueprint. It ensures the fragrance is harmonious and long-lasting by guiding the careful balance of ingredients, allowing the scent to unfold gracefully in distinct, predetermined phases.

A Scent Diffuser System is a strategic tool that consistently and evenly disperses fragrance into a space. Its purpose is to create a memorable environment that instantly enhances ambience, reinforces brand recall, and deepens emotional connections.

The technology uses patented atomizing technology that breaks pure fragrance oils into incredibly tiny, dry particles a fine mist or dry vapor. This process ensures a long-lasting, consistent scent without leaving any wetness or residue.

A Scent Diffuser System can significantly boost your business in several key areas: Boost Sales: The appealing aroma encourages customers to linger and spend more time engaging with your store and products. Enhance Decision-Making: A pleasant atmosphere helps customers feel more relaxed, leading them to make purchasing decisions more easily. Elevate Brand Image: Strategic scenting creates a sophisticated, memorable, and unique sensory identity for your brand. Create Product Opportunities: The focus on fragrance can open up possibilities for developing new products in your fragrance and cosmetics categories.

Our system is unique for its Patented Atomizing Technology which ensures consistent, micro-particle diffusion across a wide area. Combined with our Scent Designers, we offer total customization, including programmable timers and the ability to synchronize scent with events and music, creating a deep, memorable brand experience.

Yes. When using safe, gentle essential oils specifically for sleep like lavender, a diffuser can be highly beneficial. It provides a soothing aroma that promotes relaxation and contributes to better sleep quality.

Simply fill the reservoir with your chosen oil, turn the diffuser on, and set the timing and intensity. For the best result, place the unit in a central location or near existing airflow paths for optimal distribution.

The usage is quite simple : Simply fill the fragrance reservoir with the designated scent oil for your diffuser, turn the unit on, and set the appropriate timing and intensity levels. For the best result, the unit should be placed in a central area or near an airflow path to ensure the scent is diffused thoroughly across the space.

Generally, yes, when used correctly and in moderation. Diffusers disperse oils at low, safe, and appropriate concentrations, preventing the scent from becoming overwhelming. If you have pre-existing respiratory conditions, consult a healthcare professional.

No. You can adjust the number of reeds to control the scent strength. More reeds mean stronger diffusion and fragrance intensity, but they will also cause the oil to be consumed much faster.

No, only fill the diffuser reservoir to the recommended level. In most ultrasonic models, the oil is often diluted with water. Adding excessive oil can lead to clogging or damage to the device.

Scent marketing is the strategic use of aroma to influence customer emotions and behavior. It is a powerful tool used to enhance a brand's identity, create memorable experiences, and establish a deeper, non-visual connection with consumers.

The model operates on the principle of sensory branding: Brand Alignment: Developing a unique fragrance that perfectly reflects a brand's identity and values (the Scent Logo). Strategic Diffusion: Using advanced systems to consistently and evenly spread the scent in a targeted environment. Emotional Connection: The scent triggers positive emotions and memories, driving brand recall and influencing behavior (e.g., encouraging longer stays).

Fragrance marketing is essentially synonymous with scent marketing. It is the umbrella term for any activity that uses fragrance, be it ambient scenting in a store or a signature perfume product, to promote or define a brand.

It works because the sense of smell is directly linked to the brain's limbic system, which governs memory and emotion. By using a proprietary scent, a business bypasses conscious thought to create an immediate, deep, and lasting emotional association between the aroma and the brand experience.

The benefits are measurable and significant: Boosted Sales: Customers spend more time and money in pleasant, scented environments. Enhanced Brand Perception: Scent creates a luxury, quality feel. Increased Brand Recall: It makes a brand up to three times more memorable than visual branding alone. Improved Customer Mood: Positive aromas increase customer satisfaction and staff morale.

A classic example is the hotel industry. Many luxury chains use a signature scent diffused throughout their lobbies and common areas. Customers instantly recognize the brand whenever they encounter that specific fragrance, anywhere in the world, creating a powerful sense of familiarity and luxury.

There is no single universal "buy more" scent, as effectiveness depends on the brand context. However, simple, comforting scents often perform best. Studies have shown that simple aromas like vanilla, citrus, or green tea can be more effective than complex scents because they are processed faster and reduce cognitive load, leading to quicker purchasing decisions.

The best way to start is to first define your goal, then consult with experts: Define Your Goal: Are you creating a product line (retail) or creating an ambience (environment)? Consult a Scent Designer: Experts can help you translate your brand values (e.g., trust, luxury, innovation) into a signature, proprietary scent. Implement Strategically: For ambient scenting, choose the right diffuser system and strategic placement for maximum impact.
