"We will grow together if we open opportunities for each other."
In an era where the economy requires flexibility and society is turning its focus toward local businesses and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), creating economic opportunities for small businesses is a vital mission. This aligns with SDG Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Scent and Sense, as a Thai fragrance brand grown from creative concepts and an entrepreneurial spirit, understands the challenges faced by Thai SMEs. We are pleased to open spaces for small entrepreneurs to become part of our business chain—whether in production, raw materials, packaging, or design.
Co-Production: More Than Just Contract Manufacturing
At Scent and Sense, we believe that "collaboration" is the heart of sustainable growth. We do not view SMEs merely as suppliers, but as Business Partners (Co-Producers) who develop equally. Our clear guidelines for supporting small entrepreneurs include:
Selecting local producers for packaging production, handcrafted gift boxes, and handmade labeling.
Opening a "Co-developed Fragrance Formula" system for SMEs wishing to extend their own scent brands.
Developing sample/tester kits with small businesses, allowing them to test the market without high investment costs.
Implementing flexible credit and payment systems for small producers to improve their liquidity.
Supporting Special Groups and Communities
Scent and Sense prioritizes development alongside communities with cultural capital and vulnerable groups, such as:
Co-producing scented sachets and fabric pouches with rural women's groups skilled in sewing.
Purchasing dried herbal materials and flowers from domestic organic farming communities.
Promoting the use of local essential oils from small distillers, such as Lemongrass, Patchouli, and Kaffir Lime.
Elevating SMEs Toward Real Business Growth
Beyond co-production, Scent and Sense provides consultation and workshops to empower small entrepreneurs:
Teaching product design tailored to target markets.
Providing Branding and Marketing advice for Wellness and Fragrance product groups.
Hosting workshops for those interested in fragrances to experiment with scents.
Through these initiatives, Scent and Sense has been able to increase the income of local production communities by no less than 20% and distribute opportunities fairly. We believe true economic growth leaves no one behind.
